I think it is the supplier , to be honest, but I am mentally useing some very unladylike words. *>:D*
Going into lfs tomorrow to sort it out, I won't use those unladylike words, though. *;D*
And I won't let it beat me!!!!

The problem is now sorted. I cancelled the order and got my money back, and the shop manager said he really didn't blame me.
It has been one of those years when everything seems to go wrong and I did not want any more hastle.
Even my new specs are no good as I cannot read or use my computer with them.
As I shall be changing the tank over in 2011 maybe that will go o.k (fingers crossed for me everyone)

Just been catching up on this thread. Sorry to hear of how bad things have gone with the arrival and major cock up on the cabinet and hood.
I can imagine how deflated you must feel. As said, keep your chin up qnd make the final thing better for all the trials you've endured.

Have you thought about a custom built wooden stand?????

I know a guy in Devon who does very good prices and his work is always striking!

Hi Gavin,  having made the decision to cancel, I am quite happy to keep my existing cabinet. :D Itwas only when we moved it all to decorate behind that we noticed one or two, not major, nicks.  Having moved it all back again nothing is at all noticeable.  Originally it was only the tank that I wanted to replace as  I had scratched the front quite badly. Thank you for your kind thought regarding custom mad cabinet.  I am really looking forward now to ordering my new plants etc, and will post pics whenI have done the changeover and planted up.  The fish will have to spend best part of a day in large plastic tubs, which I am sure they will not like, but hopefully they will like their shiny new home when all is finished.  I am having trouble sourcing 16/22mm spray bar which is not Eheim Green so that I can put a spraybar across the length of the tank. May have to settle for how it is now.  I emailed Eheim and they only do Green or 10mm lengths in Grey, which is  not much use.

Thank you Paul, I will check that out.  I had searched online but could not find the correct diameter.
