I feel a nano coming on...
« on: September 10, 2011, 04:31:16 PM »
Now prepare for something special... prepare for a new crypt that is really special and IF it takes then we shall start to stock it.

This is a 'new' crypt... it is PINK and I mean MEGA pink... even at low light levels...

There are only 2 people on this forum who have it to my knowledge to date... there could be more. I am currently sourcing more of these as I think these are gonna blow every one away.

Now to show this off... I am thinking BLACK quartz - over vulkanit stix... maybe a bit of moss around the base and a couple of small bee shrimp with about 6 White cloud mountain minnows... all in a low temp, low light 20l nano.

Parameters:
Lighting 3w LED
22C temperature
Standard water - no RO
Ferts (standard)
Easy Carbo
Substrate - 6cm deep

that should do it!

wow - is that image bad....

Here is a link the the plant when it is a bit more grown in...

Now what I have is one of two deliveries of said plant... it comes in agar jelly - so the same as the Tropica one to grow... it is stuffed full of plants - so what you see here is only one pot...

The leaves are clearly young... they have yet to unfurl... so time will be our friend.

I am going to be chasing the Denerle distributor for the UK on Monday - now I know that the Denerle supply chain is shot here in the UK - I may have to investigate the plant supplies...

Norah - if any of these actually take I will let you know but trust me - that photo as bad as it is has not been adjusted for colour at all... Amazing colour...

If you want Pink crypt's and can't wait for Tony, you can get them from Germany on the internet they cost us £15 quid a pot, that's 8.99€ for the pot each and the rest in postage and tax, crap ain't it. But if you think it's a lot I got ten plants from my pot without trying hard, puts it in prospective that's if you want lot's of PINK plants, if they grow like most crypt's do for me. It could be to much pink we'll wait and see.

Mine are just opening up and I agree with John - at £15 a pot then these are well worth it!
