Hi from Rainy Eastbourne
« on: December 24, 2011, 12:10:47 AM »
Hi everyone, my name is Chris and I live in Eastbourne on the South Coast of England.  I am just returning to my aquarium hobby after a few years and am keen to set up my first ever planted tank.  I have kept fish in the past; general community, mbuna, tanganyikan cichlids, marines and of course the obligatory Fairground Goldfish (we were one of the few families who actually put ours in a proper tank with a filter instead of a bowl that developed stagnant water sitting on the kitchen worktop in full sunlight as they often do, LOL.  So I know a fair bit about fish and aquaria but sweet naff all about plants.  Thats where this site comes in I hope, and I am looking forward to learning lots and contributing where I can.

Cheers for now, and as its Christmas Eve in 50 minutes time, HAPPY CHRISTMAS to everyone too.

Chris

*Welcome*  To the forum and back to fishkeeping Chris.  You can get loads of info about plants on here and the online shop Planted Tanks (although it is an actual shop, but I live so far away it has to be 'online' for me)  I returned to fishkeeping six years ago after a  break of thirty years and have really enjoyed the challenge. A lot had changed in those years.

Well done for keeping your fairground fish in a proper tank, not many of these poor fish get that lucky *;D*

Good luck and do post pics (not really obligatory but I am nosy) it is nice to see what others have done with their tanks.
